1 ST BACHILLERATO TEAM SPORT LESSONS

TEAM SPORT LESSONS:

You can choose between the following sports:

-           5 a side football, volleyball, rugby, hockey, floor ball and handball.

-          Aspects should be considered to teach a lesson:

o   TEAMS OF 8- 10 teachers as much.
o   LESSON PARTS:
      •   WARM UP: 10´
        •          GENERAL
        •          SPECIFIC          
      •  TECHNICAL PART 10´
      •  TACTICAL PART 10´
      • GAMES OR COMPETITION 10´

-          ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

-          1,5 p.    Use and organization of material.
-          1,5 p. Class management.
o   Discipline
o   Respect in teacher-student relationship.
-          1,5 p. Progression in the order and structure in the exercise.
o   From more simple to more complex.
o   Groups.
- Pairs, trios, small groups…2 big groups.
  •            Plan exercises to odd and even groups

o   You have to foresee possible solutions in case some students are absent.

-          1 p. Clear and concise exposition of information. Be brief and give interesting teaching tips and corrections.

o   Don´t over explain.
o   La exposición clara y concisa de la información:
o   Use examples, “eye contact”, pitch changing and chose a adequate position every time you give an explanation.

-          1,5 p. You have to show respect each other inside the working group. You have to work IN coordination with those members of your group that teach different parts (W.UP, TECHNIQUE, TACTICAL AND GAMES OR COMPETITION) of the class.

o   CONTROL OF EACH PART TIME.
o   TAKE THE MATERIAL OUT and PUTTING IT INSIDE.
o   Repeat the information that was not understood in the previous part and use different words if necessary. Give examples and use technical vocabulary,

-          1,5 p. Have enough exercises and games (´have a further ace up your sleeve´) in case you need a B-plan.

o   Plan different levels in exercises for players with different backgrounds in your sport.

-          1,5 p. Make all the corrections needed in the class. (Make sure you are separated so every teacher can be in charge of certain students). vv1 p. ATTITUDE: You need to be motivated and dynamic as P.E. teachers.

THEORETICAL DOCUMENT:

Assessment criteria:

-          5 p. You have to make a description in detail of the exercise (use the correct technical language). (Add also descriptive images or drawings to make the exercises clear.

-          1 p. Esthetic (care the presentation)

-          2 p. Maintain the structure:

o   Cover
o   Introduction.
- (why you chose this sport to be taught:
o   Benefits for personal development (physical, psicologic or social development of the person).
o   Development of the class 4 parts (w.up, technique, tactique and competition)

-          1 p. CONCLUSION (write about your experience as P.E. teachers:

o   Was it difficult or easy?
o   Did you have any previous experiences teaching an sport before this class? Have you played this sport in a former team?
o   What was the most difficult point for you?
o   What was the easiest aspect in this teaching experience?


-          1 p. Spelling.
